Located a short walk from the National Prehistory Museum in the heart of Les Eyzies, this is an information center for the local prehistoric attractions. There are some exhibits that introduce visitors to the ice age, but there are no original artifacts on display here. There is an information desk where you can get directions and suggestions for prehistoric sites to visit. This is a good place to stop if you're not sure what you want to see or if you need to get out of the heat for a little while.
Free admission, open all year. Information in the exhibits is in French, but there is an English leaflet. The library has books in several languages.
